The West Tower
The West Tower, Galilee Porch, West Front & South and West Transept
The half-built west tower and upper parts of the two western transepts were completed under Bishop Geoffrey Ridel (1174–89). It showcases intersecting arches, elaborate mouldings, rows of trefoil heads, and pointed arches. The upper portions of the tower and transepts exhibit a high level of systematic consistency in the incorporation of these architectural elements.
