Dinner with the Archbishop of York

On Sunday, October 30th, 2022, I had the great honour of being invited by the Dean of Clare College, Mark Smith, to join a special dinner with the Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, along with several fellow students of Clare College.

The evening commenced with a Choral Evensong, where the Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, delivered a profound sermon as our guest preacher.

Following the service, Dean Mark Smith hosted a dinner for the Archbishop, myself, and other students in the Master’s Lodge at Old Court. I had the privilege of being seated next to the Dean, where we engaged in a wide-ranging and deeply thought-provoking discussion on various theological topics.

This is an experience that I was honoured to have been a part of, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to participate in such meaningful and enlightening discussions and I will forever cherish the conversations that were held.
